About AmeriLuxe Essentials Founder, Timothy Baas
After 20+ years as a structural engineer in CT, I recognized a market gap existed for durable luxury goods from verified artisan suppliers in the USA and abroad. A good many products appear to prioritize initial purchase impulse over long-term satisfaction and durability. AmeriLuxe Essentials, LLC was founded in 2025 to connect discerning customers with premium products from established manufactures like Incalpaca of Peru and many others.
The renowned American architect and designer - Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) once said, "Give me the luxuries of life and I will willingly do without the necessities." He believed that "beauty in all forms - art, design and nature - had a profound impact on the quality of life" and if one "invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life." The understood intent of these sentiments is that they are believed to reflect Wright's lifelong commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and aesthetic beauty over mere functionalism or practical utility. In keeping with this inspiration - I endeavor to consider design, function and aesthetics, by examining any product with the vision of an architect and designer combined with the technical rigor expected of an engineer. I realized over time that investing in the best quality essential item, it was also cost effective as it was durable. Combining these qualities, experiences and judgement with a desire to help discerning clients live in the moment and enjoy time with family and friends is what inspired me to launch AmeriLuxe Essentials.
